In this paper, we describe our experience of implementing an application profile based on Learning Object Metadata (LOM) and increased with elements to adjust it to our application domain. The educational resources considered here are collaborative Web pages based on Wiki. We discuss strategies for automatic and semi-automatic generation of metadata. Furthermore, we also report the implementation and evaluation of an interface to support the application profile and these strategies.
