I have proposed that unconscious voice, face, hand, and body gestures form a motion texture that convey social signals, and that these signals are an important determinant of human behavior [1]. In this paper I will describe the theoretical and computational framework that I have developed for measuring social signaling, and survey the results obtained using this computational model for the perception of social displays.
