Abstract

Mobile computing devices vary in terms of display, memory, and battery life, and currentnetwork protocols aren't necessarily suited to the mobile computing environment. As computernetworks' complexity increases, communication-related software must be able to adapt to mobilecomputing's constraints. This study aims to develop a software system that adapts data flows overdynamic wireless network conditions and various mobile devices. With their MobiGATE system, theauthors adopt the principle of separation of concerns to support the system's service composition andreconfiguration. This approach can support ease of dynamic reconfiguration and the reusability ofadaptation services across applications.
