Abstract

The developing approach of synthetic aperture radar image formation processor (SIFP) is to depict the image formation algorithm, to evaluate the fractional errors, to establish the software and hardware (HW) mapping, and to provide the HW selection criteria. The purpose of this paper is to provide whole works related to the space-based SIFP during design stage. This technique can be used to reduce errors and risks of design before implementation. Thus, this method can be applied for developing the space-based SIFP using rectangular algorithm.
