Abstract

This paper investigates political art-games and game-art in terms of their definition, function and various manifestations. The presence of political content in the game-space is discussed as an element of surprise which works to morph the play-space into a think-space. Attention will be given to the possibility for the game medium to tackle social realities and transmit powerful messages via means habitually accessed as entertainment.
