Abstract

Various academic, governmental, and industrial organizations to work to develop a common body of knowledge (CBK) for the securitydomain. Yet, such CBKs generally focus on specific information security subdomains and thus offer narrow perceptions of the overalldomain. In contrast, the authors present a CBK that addresses information security's multidisciplinary nature by incorporating knowledgeand experience from fields such as management, business administration, ethics, sociology, and political science.
