Abstract

We present t-Frame, a low-cost hardware/software architecture that enables multi-touch interaction on a generic display. Specifically, t-Frame is intended to be used in large size, multi-user interactive walls. A t-Frame installation consists of a set of cameras arranged on the plane of the display. The frames captured by each camera are elaborated to spot touch events, which are then pushed to a queue that applications can poll. The design of t-Frame is illustrated in detail, together with a preliminary prototype installation.
