Abstract

This paper discusses a novel crossover operation engine considering character inheritance. The proposed architecture introduces a new hardware-oriented crossover algorithm. It achieves not only high speed processing, but also reduction of the number of processing steps, while keeping the search performance. Experiments prove the effectiveness of the proposed architecture.
