Abstract

Features extraction and use of the features as query terms are crucial problems in content based image retrieval systems. Images are retrieved basing on similarity of features where features of the query specification are compared with features from the image database to determine which images match similarly with given features. In this paper, we aimed at the detection of adult image. This paper combines the color and texture image content representation for still image databases in order to provide interactive content-based retrieval for effective filtering and blocking adult (nude, objectionable) images.
