Abstract

Teaching security analysis skills to undergraduates presents an imposing challenge. One reason is that instructors may lack the background in security and information assurance to create exercises and know where they can be integrated into existing courses. This tutorial will give the participants experience with some interactive exercises that they can integrate into classes on networking or security. We also present a preconfigured virtual environment that reduces the preparation time that an instructor must spend to incorporate these exercises.
