This poster paper presents our experience of using low-cost user experience methods in the very early visual design phase of a 3D environment targeted for tablet devices. We presented early phase sketches to 23 participants, prior to the modeling phase, of a 'music club' themed virtual environment. Then we designed a 3D model based on the most preferred sketch and user feedback.
