Abstract

Recent advancement of communications systems enables that any person can easily connect to others using network devices. However, it is still bothering to setup an external device to communicate with other devices. This paper proposes a framework for external device session initiation using a mobile phone connection information. To overcome the complex configuration issues, we employ several global servers for session initiation. By using connection information of a mobile phone, one can easily connect an external device with other device without setting any connection information. By using the framework, we have developed a prototype which can easily connect Kiosk video terminal with other device just facing an Android smartphone with NFC feature over the Kiosk terminal. We have counted the steps required to the user for the session initiation, and confirm the framework overcomes the issues.
