Abstract

A programming language course is difficult to organize because of the diversity of languages and concepts discussed. A Lisp-based project described here provides a unifying context within which to demonstrate programming language features such as data abstraction, packages, and overloading. This approach has proven to be a successful strategy in organizing a programming language course.
