Abstract

Microcomputers are being used extensively for business purposes. This use has created new jobs and careers for micro-computer support personnel. Definitions of three new positons: the micro-computer support person, the micro-manager, and the super-user are presented, along with their selection, training and career needs. Additionally, suggestions for where to locate the micro support function are made. This paper may be used by researchers as a source of questions, needing investigation, regarding the micro-computer support function. Further, this paper may serve as an outline for educational and training programs for microcomputer support personnel.
