This paper examines the problem of stabilising a class of fuzzy system models using linear output controllers. Based on a well-known Lyapunov functional approach, we develop a technique for designing an output feedback control law which globally stabilises this class of fuzzy system models. A design algorithm for constructing a stabilising linear output controllers is given. A numerical simulation example is presented to illustrate the theory development.
