Abstract

When students enrolled in a computer literacy course are required to submit assignment for grades, plagiarism may occur. This unethical student behavior requires instructors to address the plagiarism that occurs in their classes. Unfortunately, each incident of plagiarism requires time on the part of the instructor: beyond their regular academic duties. This paper presents a method that truly prevents plagiarism in computer literacy courses, describes an experiment conducted during the Fall Semester 2001, and reviews the results of the experiment.
