Abstract

This paper describes our "Multidimensional deformation tool" defined to be used in geometrical modeling and animation. It is a space-time deformation tool defined as a combination of three free-form deformation tools. The first one is Chang and Rockwood's axial tool and the two others are its extensions to a tool defined by a Bezier patch and a tool defined by a Bezier trivariate volume. The presentation of our "Multidimensional deformation tool" will start by a description of each of the elementary tools to finish with a description of the rules that unite the deformations defined by a set of tools in a unique deformation.
