Computers make people feel dumb. With the progress in both software engineering and artificial intelligence, people expect that computers should be easy to use. Further, with modern advertising, many people think that computers are easy to use, until they try to use them and fail miserably. Since they know computers are easy to use, are friendly, and the wave of the future, they feel dumb, old-fashioned, and that they are slow learners.
