Abstract

The convenience of a time sharing system from the point of view of a computer science instructor is considered. Tools which may be helpful for course administration are described. The experience of the North Carolina State Computer Science Department with its IBM VM/CMS system is considered in detail and its strengths and weaknesses noted.
