In this paper, we identified an important issue whensupporting a large scale networked virtualenvironment(NVE) with a server cluster. This issue issimilar to the process migration issue on the parallelcomputing study and we refer it as the avatar migrationproblem. That is, when an avatar of an NVE is movingfrom one region managed by a server to another regionmanaged by a different server, the client site mayperceive abrupt screen change due to the differentcontents managed by these two servers. This paperproposes equations to solve this problem and elaboratesthe proposed avatar migration mechanism with statediagrams. The implementing architecture is also given inthis paper. Our experiments that successfully show theefficiency of the proposed mechanism are given at thelast.
