This paper describes a Ternary Content-Addressable Memory(TCAM) based routing lookup system(TRLS), which consists of a routing lookup coprocessor and a routing table management subsystem. A dynamic priority schedule scheme between routing lookup and routing update is proposed and a routing table management scheme particularly for TCAM is given to improve the system performance. This system can perform 100M lookups/second.
