Abstract

In this paper, we propose the use of a UML methodologyto go from user requirements and specifications to end ofproduction testing of complex embedded systems. Weconsider behavioral, structural and physical levelsbuilding a comprehensive and modular model. Theprocess contains the definition of a set of properties beingcreated and then updated in each phase, and heavilyrelies on message passing and elaborating facilities toincrease both abstraction and descriptive power. Result ofthe process is test pattern generation using custom ATEcommands. We also present and discuss an under-developmentcase study of a significantly complexautomotive application.
