Abstract

In this paper, we present a system of help to the conception, creation and visualization in 3D of operation rooms in hospitals using the virtual reality. In a first time, according to the type ofsurgery exercised, we define the better adapted solution to choose and to position surgical lights. This system can generate automatically a room of operation in 3D while seizing the geometric measurements directly via a graphic interfacing. With a complete data base, we can integrate the different present elements in this room (operating tables, surgical lights, issuing arm of fluid, equipment, etc.). Finally, it's possible to visualize the result via a virtual reality interfacing or to generate, via a renderer modul, a video animation.
