How to allocate computing and communication resourcesin a way that mazimizes the effectiveness of controland signal processing has been an important area ofresearch. The characteristic of a multi-hop Real-TimeWireless Sensor Network raises new challenges.First, the constraints are more complicated and a new solutionmethod is needed.Second, we need a distribution solutionto achieve scalability. This paper presents solutions toboth of the new challenges. The first solution to the optimalfrequency allocation is a centralized solution that canhandle the more general form of constraints as comparedwith prior research. The second solution is a distributedversion for large networks using a pricing scheme. It iscapable of incremental adjustment when utility functionschange.
