Ashikhmin and Shirley have proposed an anisotropic BRDF model that is physically plausible and has intuitive parameters. We present an analytical factorization of the Ashikhmin BRDF that is suitable for real-time implementation on all graphics accelerators, and address some important issues necessary to correctly implement the factorization. We also discuss highlight antialiasing.
