Abstract

This paper discusses the design of a low noise amplifiertunable over a wide range of frequencies. The LNA isdesigned for a frequency band 1.4 Ghz - 2 Ghz andprovides an output return loss, S22, less than -24 dB, aninput return loss, S11, less than -10 dB, a gain of 11.5 dBand noise figure between 1.8 - 3.4 dB. The LNA has beenimplemented in 0.25µm CMOS IBM process, with a 2.5Vpower supply.
