Abstract

We developed and operated an exhibition systemwhich satisfies two requirements of a museumexhibition simultaneously: compatibility betweenpersonalization of the information and handling ofhigh attendance, and flexibility to accommodate thevisitor's desired degree of interactiveness for acquiringknowledge. To realize this feature, we used the"Excursion Metaphor" concept to integrate differentexhibition methods into a single system. In this paper,we present our Scalable VR architecture whichintegrates different types of VR systems, and theimplementation of our exhibition system based onScalable VR architecture.
