Abstract

Web-based technologies are causing a revisit to existing information technology implementation models, including those for Executive Information Systems (EIS). In order to survey the state of EIS implementations in South Africa, the authors developed a questionnaire and report on the current EIS situation in thirty-one well-established organisations in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa which successfully implemented EIS. The authors' results are compared with EIS studies conducted in Australia, Spain and Taiwan.
