This paper presents a collaborative learning systems' evaluation approach to support the Schoolsenses@Internet project. This project involves the collaborative creation of geo-referenced multisensory information by primary school children. The paper begins by presenting and discussing some evaluation practices in the area of collaborative learning systems. Evaluation activities and results developed in the scope of the design and implementation of the mentioned project are explained. The paper also discusses broader issues related to quantitative and qualitative evaluation methods.
