Abstract

A comparative study of the realism of three recent techniques for graphical synthesis of cumulus clouds is described. The realism of the techniques is evaluated here via statistical testing on human assessments of synthetic versus real imagery. The results of the evaluation are also considered versus a prior evaluation that used image content metrics.
