In this paper, we present a motion capture-based camera tracking method to create visual effects by composing motion capture-driven CG animation with real on-set images for TV and film production. Our method can compute all of the motion parameters of camera directly from motion capture data with sub-pixel accuracy. In addition, it can also calibrate the lens parameters of camera without using additional calibration tools. The effectiveness of our method has been verified through several real experiments.
