The purpose of this research is to create a technology-integrated environment where learners can be immersed in the authentic environment to learn Taiwan local history and geography using mobile learning system. Learners conduct investigations with the guidance of the PDA in the Q&A style. The system was tested on students from college to graduate level in the University of Tainan. The experiment was taken place in three places including Catholic Church of Wanchin, Gate of Donglong Temple in Tungkang, and Hsiao Familys Old House in Chia Dong. The results of pre- and post-test have shown positive learning effect on students' understanding to the history and geography. The usability test of the system has found positive reactions to the mobile learning system.
