Abstract

A novel temperature independent Ring Oscillator is proposed in this paper. In order to accomplish temperature independency, different characteristics of several delay stages are gathered together in one circuit scheme. Using the temperature property of one kind of delay stage to cancel the other's, has made the proposed architecture show drastically low temperature sensitivity. The proposed architecture was simulated in 0.35µm CMOS technology where the temperature varied from 0 to 50 degrees Celsius, resulting in only 1% frequency deviations.
