This paper presents an interdisciplinary General Education course that introduces students to music and animation through the use of various software applications. Active learning exercises combined with knowledge of programming concepts and music theory provide students with a challenging and creative learning environment. By integrating "behind-the-scene" logical components that are required for animations with music theory and music composition concepts needed for background music and special sound effects, students are able to produce musical animations in an Alice World.
