Multi-touch surfaces are predestined to be used by many users at the same time. However, most systems are not able to distinguish touches of different users. This paper presents ongoing work on using wristbands, equipped with infrared LEDs, to provide touches with identities. The LEDs transmit coded light pulses as an identifier. We are using a specific blinking-pattern to determine the orientation of the wristband in order to reliably associate corresponding touches.
