This paper discusses how ontology helps information management processing to provide better FAQ services. We propose an ontology-supported information management agent that not only helps the user find out proper, integrated query results in accord with his proficiency level or satisfaction degree, i.e., user-oriented solution, but supports proxy access of query solutions through a four-tier solution finding process, which involves two operations, namely, web information preparation and solution application. Our experiments show the agent not only can effectively alleviate the overloading problem, but can improve precision rate and produce better query solutions.
