SideBySide is a system designed for ad-hoc multi-user interaction with handheld projectors. SideBySide does not require instrumentation of the environment and can be used almost anywhere. This paper examines the diverse ways that children interact with SideBySide when playing interactive games. Observations from a preliminary user study are presented along with quantitative evaluation of the SideBySide tracking approach.
