Intelligent Tutoring Systems had provided sophisticated adaptability and intelligent support to learners by simulating teachers and tutors behavior. However, traditional ITS architectures do not offer sufficient modularity nor dynamic adaptability to learners' and tutors' evolving contexts and needs. Therefore we propose, in this paper, a semantic Web and OSGi based middleware for ITS development. Our choice for OSGi and Semantic Web technologies is motivated by the efficiency of the former to automatically reconfigure software components at run-time and efficiency of the latter to provide modular, reusable knowledge chunks and equally a relevant way for OSGi services discovery, composition and execution at run-time.
