Abstract

A new modelfor sporadic task systems is introduced. This model— thegeneralized multiframe task model—further generalizes boththe conventional sporadic-tasks model, and the more recent multiframemodel of Mok and Chen. A framework for determining feasibilityfor a wide variety of task systems is established; this frameworkis applied to this task model to obtain a feasibility-testingalgorithm that runs in time pseudo-polynomial in the size ofthe input for all systems of such tasks whose densities arebounded by a constant less than one.
