The experiment setup that was used for Eurospider's CLEF participation is described and a preliminary analysis of the results that were obtained is given. Three runs each were submitted for the multilingual and monolingual tasks. The goal of these experiments was to investigate query translation using different methods, as well as document translation. A main focus was the use of so-called similarity thesauri for query translation. This approach produced promising results, and shows potential for future adaptations.
