The HYPERPRESENCE system proposed in this work is amix between hardware and software platforms developedfor control of multi-user agents in a mixed realityenvironment. The hardware basically composed by robotsystems that manipulate objects and move in a closed, realenvironment and a video camera, imaging system. Theenvironment can be any place that provides or needsinteraction with virtual environments for showing resultsor else to allow manipulation on it via a virtual realityinterface. The software part is composed by three mainsystems: an acquiring module for position control, a tower(hardware) communication module for manipulating therobots and a multi user VRML server for managing virtualspaces and to provide synchronism between the real placesand the virtual ones. In this article we present the designand implementation solution adopted for theHYPERPRESENCE architecture. We analyze problemswith communication protocols, precision on positioning, how to relate physical and virtual objetcs and how oursolution for these problems.
