This paper reports on the digital reconstruction and the development of a completely immersive virtual model of an ancient archaeological site from the Northwest Place of Ashurnasir-pal II.this paper further details the modeling of an historically accurate ancient human character and the simulation of a 3-D human (avatar) with motion control.This paper further describes the issues in animating virtual characters in an realtime immersive environment.It also reports on the implementation of an intergrated virtual environment at the UB Virtual Site Museum and the role of that Museum.
