The paper presents novel algorithms for the automatedsynthesis of cellular automata-based test generators withphase shifters. As shown in the paper, it is possible tosynthesize in time-efficient manner very large cellularautomata and their corresponding fast phase shifters forBIST applications with guaranteed structural and functionalproperties.
