The traditional Tower of Babel problem of how we read and write foreign languages has become even more serious in the Internet era. We propose using Web multilingual data and statistical learning methods to help users read foreign languages. Specifically, we describe an intelligent English reading-assistance system, English Reading Wizard, that offers word and phrase translation with automatic, intelligent mining and ranking features.
