Social context is an important yet an under-researchedarea in context-sensitive computing. Thispaper adopts a framework from social sciences thatviews social context as a sequence of turns taken betweenparticipants. The approach is illustrated andevaluated through three empirical cases. Challenges and restrictions for modelingsocial context through turntaking are identified.
