In this paper, a Fuzzy Partitioning System is introduced. It uses fuzzy logic to perform bipartitioning of cells in VLSI circuits. Net and cell indices are generated using fuzzy logic principles. Then a bottom-up clustering algorithm produces the bipartition. The algorithm is tested on ten Benchmark circuits of the ISCAS and the performance of the algorithm is compared with other implementations.
