In this paper, a facial expression analysis method that can allow users to feel free to rotate their heads is proposed; we track facial feature points in synthetic frontal face images called stabilized view, and then translate tracking result into MPEG-4 facial animation parameters for facial expression synthesis. Besides, a pose refinement algorithm is proposed by using error classification method. It can refine the pose error rapidly after pose estimation.
