Abstract

Mixed Reality is a very useful and powerful instrumentfor the visualization of processes, including the assemblyprocess. A Mixed Reality based step-by-step furniture assemblyapplication is introduced. On the one hand contextrelated actions are given to the user to install elements. Onthe other hand an intuitive way for authors to create newMR based assembly instructions is provided. Our goal isto provide a powerful, flexible and easy-to-use AuthoringWizard for assembly experts, allowing them to author theirnew assembly instructor for hierarchical structures. Thisminimizes the costs for the creation of new Mixed RealityAssembly Instructors.
