Abstract

The paper presents an algorithm for rendering digital terrain models of unlimited scale and detail. The algorithm is straightforward and simple to implement. It integrates easily with rendering of other geographical data. It has minimal CPU requirements as it harnesses the power of modern graphics processing units. It has implicit triangle budget and provides stable frame rates.
