Therapists use cognitive behavioral therapy to treat several psychological disorders. CBT is based on a highly pervasive and ubiquitous process that requires constant participation by patients and therapists throughout their daily lives. However, existing artifacts used for therapy and diagnosis restrain both therapists and patients during and between sessions. The SCOPE (Supporting Cognition Outlines on Psychological Evaluation) tools alleviate these problems and lets caregivers customize therapy for individual patients. The patients can accomplish their tasks using mobile devices, getting assistance from their tool whenever needed. Both therapists and patients have found these tools beneficial for all CBT activities. This article is part of a special issue on Healthcare.
